LIGHTNING CLOSET LIQUID NOVELLA: VS ALL STAR BRIAN DROPS IN FOR FIFTEEN MINUTES OF QUICK WINE MULTICULTURALISM

VS All Star Brian dropped in on the Lightning Closet last Tuesday, mainly to pitch a crazy deal, but had 4 wines to taste in rapid-fire fashion:

Julien Barraud Macon-Chaintre Le Pierres Polies 2009.  Grade=Outstanding.  Loads of green apple, Bartlett pear and clean mineral notes abound in this light-bodied, crisp Chardonnay.

Summers Chardonnay La Nude Monterey County 2008.  Grade=Outstanding.  100% tank-fermented Chardonnay, showing off apple pie, lemon chiffon and crème brulee notes.  Very nice.

Domaine Rochette Beaujolais-Villages 2009.  Grade=Outstanding.  Tart, bright cherry fruit, cinnamon, red tea leaves, and slight pomegranate underpinnings.

Kung Fu Girl Riesling Washington State 2010.  Grade=Outstanding.  I’ve had this before and once again, it impresses me as one of Washington State’s best Rieslings.
